Painting Shoes :: Tutorial by ~Toasts is a great little tutorial for those of you that like to wear original footwear with your own custom designs.This is perfect for those worn out looking sneakers or summery pumps that you want to add a bit of flair too.

Here is a tutorial showing the process of shoe painting that I use.

Notes:
1. You don't have to paint white shoes, you can just give any colour shoes a few coats of white paint as a base before doing the rest.
2. You don't have to use acrylic - fabric paint or permanent markers should work as well, this is just one method.
3. "I have a pair of high top chucks I did in Prismacolor markers. I found markers work well, then spray lightly over the top with hair-spray and it protects it. Again, can't get them wet though." From ~Girl-Of-Roses-Hanna

I've made a few of these and they have turned out crud and when i did it your way they were perfect ^^!!! Thank you sooo very much!!! Now I'm going to make like ten pairs and sell them at my local farmers market, since apparently I'm CONSIDERED THE MOST CREATIVE PERSON IN MA TOWN... It's a small town. Anyway Thanks!! I'm now going to paint some DOCTOR WHO inspired ones... EEEEEEH
